Botanical Garden 'La Isla'

The small but very interesting botanical garden is located at the Playa Negra close to Puerto Viejo. The garden houses an impressive collection of tropical fruit trees and spices. You may find trees like rambutan, guanábana, akee tree or spices like pepper, sugar cane and cinnamon. This is also a good place to see poison dart frogs.

After the tour you are welcome to try some fruit or juice.

Open: Friday to Monday: 10 am – 3 pm

Entrance fee: 3 $, guided tour 8 $.
