Botanical excursions

With the Biologist Rolf Blancke you can explore the flora of a tropical rainforest.Along the Southern Caribbean coast we encounter coastal vegetation, secondary forests with old cacao plantations and primary forests.  During a guided tour you will get to know tropical rainforest trees and tropical fruit trees such as mandarin lime, avocado and cacao. We explain the often complicated ecological interactions of a rainforest and focus on the importance of diversity, succession, and adaptations of plants to their tropical environment.
